In advance of the meeting with opposition finance spokespeople and John Swinney, Liberal Democrat Finance spokesman Jeremy Purvis has stated the Government must publish its detailed response to the Independent Budget Review.
Ahead of the meeting at St Andrew's House tomorrow Jeremy Purvis said:
"I have told John Swinney that if the meeting is to be meaningful he has to outline the Government's detailed response to the Independent Budget Review.
"So far he has simply talked in generalities. The Government has published two forecasts on Scottish finances beyond 2020 so six weeks on from the IBR the SNP Government has no excuse not to have published a detailed policy response.
"If the SNP are serious about engaging others in what will be a difficult budget process coming up, they need to do better."
