Commenting on the Scottish Government's announcement that children up to Primary Three will receive free school meals, Liberal Democrat Education spokesperson Margaret Smith said:
"Liberal Democrats do not believe that the Government has properly set out the outcomes they expect this initiative to deliver.
"Ministers have failed to make the case that this is the best way to tackle the problem of poor diet amongst many Scottish children."
